The Leahy Lipolysis Probe
The bespoke design of consumables and equipment has further improved the procedure for both patient and practitioner; making it less time consuming and easier to carry out. One such consumable is the patented and CE marked Leahy Lipolysis probe that has been designed specifically to be used for this procedure and is single use. Manufactured in the UK, the Leahy Lipolysis probe couples an ergonomically designed hand piece fixed to a 1.5mm canula that comes in four sizes; 150, 200, 250 and 300mm, which can be used with either 400 or 600 micron diameter fibre.
The unique features of the patented Leahy Lipolysis Probe include a fibre locking mechanism that enables the user to lock the fibre in the handpiece, allowing a one to two mm protrusion of the fibre from the tip of the canula. Unlike off-the-shelf handpiece canula setups used previously that were not specifically designed for laser lipolysis there is no slippage of the fibre in the handpiece canula during use. This gives the practitioner increased speed, safety and efficiency during the procedure.
The following table shows the various sizes in which the Leahy Lipolysis can be ordered.
